Review: Valet Hero

Valet Hero is a simple yet very fun Free game for the iPhone. The objective of the game is to point all the cars in the direction of the spot. There are 2 different colors of cars, Green and Blue. If you park a Blue car in a Green spot, you lose money. If you also point the cars incorrectly or park them crooked, you will also lose money. If two cars crash, the game is over. Eventually when you park all the cars perfectly and never crash, the levels will get harder. This is definitely a must guy game. It’s free, fun to play, and you’ll never get tired of it!

As you advance through levels, the environments get harder as well.

Review: GT Racing Motor Academy

Gameloft is known for making amazing iPhone games in 3D and have the most intuitive user interfaces. They released GT Racing: Motor Academy a few days ago, and as usual, Gameloft has done a spectacular job with the handling of the game, making it look almost console-like. The game includes 24 manufactures and over 100 licensed cars, and 14 great tracks(real ones) that look so realistic it will shock you. The game also includes the usual Arcade and Career mode, with you beginning as a rookie and then gaining respect and driving skills as you go through the game. There is also a cockpit view, so the driving experience gets even realer. And as always, you can listen to your iPod/iPhone music right on your game. The app is $6.99 in the app store, but I definitely recommend buying it. Typical Gameloft does it again with another great racing game.

Thoughts App

Sometime during the last few weeks a new app has been released for the Mac called Thoughts. I learned about this app in development on Flickr. It’s basically an app that you’d use to take notes with. Now, I don’t go into a lot of detail of the app, thus it being a quick review, but MacSlice’s Kevin did a video that tells you, for the demo, you are allowed only 3 books and 3 pages per book. He also notes that it’s $34.52 US (24 Euros). It’s almost similar to Word in a way. You can add photos, export the pages, change font type, size colors and add tables.

You can download the trial at this link: http://tr.im/KOlr.

Seesmic acquires Ping.fm

And there goes what was once a great service that you could use to update multiple social networks at once. Seesmic, owner of the Seesmic client and Twhirl, bought Ping.fm today. And I deleted my Ping account.

I hate Seesmic, and always have from the beginning. Their client is absolute crap and full of bulk. The application constantly crashes, and the user interface is downright ugly.

I used Twhirl, until they bought it last year. Everything the take turns to crap and is rebranded. Why did my tweets say “via Seesmic” when I was using Twhirl? Absolutely stupid.

Delete your Ping.fm account, for it too will become a POS and be rebranded.
