And there goes what was once a great service that you could use to update multiple social networks at once. Seesmic, owner of the Seesmic client and Twhirl, bought Ping.fm today. And I deleted my Ping account.
I hate Seesmic, and always have from the beginning. Their client is absolute crap and full of bulk. The application constantly crashes, and the user interface is downright ugly.
I used Twhirl, until they bought it last year. Everything the take turns to crap and is rebranded. Why did my tweets say “via Seesmic” when I was using Twhirl? Absolutely stupid.
Delete your Ping.fm account, for it too will become a POS and be rebranded.
I bought a pair of those Beats by Dr. Dre, due to the fact that they sound awesome, and everyone raves about them. And so did I, for 3 days. They were great headphones, for the most part, and came with a nice case, and different options for cables. Heck, they were even stylish.
And then, they broke. IN HALF.
That rose a few red flags for me. For instance, why would a pair of headphones with a price tag of $300 break in a few days? I’m not talking about a small hairline crack or chip, they literally snapped in half at the top of the headband. I contacted Beats (via Twitter), and informed them of their lousy product and how quickly they broke. Headphones that cost that much should be much more durable. All I did was put them on and they snapped. (And no, I do not have a big head.)
I returned them, and got the Bose over-the-ear headphones, which cost LESS THAN HALF the price of the Beats, and twice the durability. They sound just like the beats did; highs and lows, deep bass, soothing acoustics and voice clarity. I can safely recommend the Bose over-the-ear headphones over the Beats, no questions asked. They are on sale now for $129.
Dr. Dre can’t do it all.

If you tried “Binging” on Bing.com this evening, you would have been greeted with the following:

Google NEVER goes down, and if Microsoft wants to become the number one search engine, they better pick up the pace. Bing currently has 10% of the search market. You can take a guess who has the other 90%.
Update: Bing is now back up. That is, if you care. I use Google and have since 2003.
